Giant Steps Playschool has been in operation in the St. Albert community since 1973. We are a parent’s cooperative which provides a unique and quality playschool program for children ages 3, 4 and 5. We have found that by combining parent’s skills and talents, energy and ideas, we enhance the exciting program and contribute to the smooth operation of the playschool.

We offer a wide variety of playing and learning opportunities for each class. During our 2.25 hour classes you can find the children busy doing daily crafts to take home, singing a song, quietly listening to a story, playing games with a friend or outdoors discovering nature. Our school also offers monthly local field trips or guest speakers for the children. For special days, parents are welcome to join us for group parties. Each class is limited in size and consists of two teachers and two assisting parents.

Our teachers have RCMP Security Clearance, First Aid for Childcare and participate in professional development courses annually.
